To guarantee the optimal condition of our live products upon delivery, we organise our dispatch schedule to bypass holidays, including bank holidays. We send out orders from Monday to Saturday, excluding any holiday periods.

Will my order be dispatched the same day?

Orders placed by 13:30 (or 01:30 PM) from Monday to Friday, Saturdays: 11:00 AM are typically dispatched on the same day. Any orders received after this cut-off time are likely to be dispatched the following day, excluding holidays. If your order is placed after 13:30 during weekdays or Saturday at 11:30 AM, or any time on a holiday, the dispatch will occur on the next working day.

Please be aware that during periods of high demand or adverse weather conditions, the dispatch of your order might be delayed.

Before placing your order, we advise you to check the projected dispatch date shown on this page and in the basket/checkout area. The confirmed dispatch date for your order will also be indicated in your order confirmation and dispatch emails.

When will my order arrive?

Upon dispatch of your order, we will notify you via email, so you know when to expect its arrival. If you have chosen the Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm service during checkout, your order will be delivered by 1pm the next day. If you’ve opted for our standard delivery option, Royal Mail Tracked 24, your order will typically arrive within one day, although this is not guaranteed.

We also offer the APC Overnight service for customers within the UK Mainland, ensuring guaranteed next-day delivery, but not specifically by 1pm.

While we find that most of our customers (approximately 98%) receive their standard delivery orders by the next day, for orders that are urgent or required earlier, we recommend selecting either the Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm or APC Overnight service at checkout.

When you qualify for free delivery by reaching an order value of £25 or more, the following delivery guidelines will automatically apply based on the items in your order:

  1. Perishable items, such as live worms and maggots, will be delivered the next day.
  2. Non-perishable items, like groundbaits and wormeries, are delivered within a 48-hour period.
  3. Orders that contain a mix of perishable and non-perishable items are prioritised for next-day delivery service.

Alternatively, even if you qualify for free delivery, you can select your preferred delivery option for an additional charge. This way, you can control the delivery speed based on your needs, and we won’t need to select the delivery options for you.


What if I’m not home when my order is delivered?

Given the perishable nature of many of our products, we instruct delivery drivers to leave your items in a safe place if you’re not available to receive the order. We highly recommend that customers stay informed about their delivery dates. We will send an email notification once your order has been dispatched, and the delivery carrier will also provide updates on the expected delivery date.

Should a delivery be returned to the carrier’s depot because it was deemed unsafe to leave, we strongly encourage you to either collect or rearrange delivery as soon as possible. This is especially critical for orders containing live products. It’s important to note that we cannot accept liability for the deterioration of live products due to missed deliveries or delays in collection by the customer.

If you foresee that you might be unable to accept delivery of your order, you have the option during checkout to specify an alternative delivery address. Once the item has been dispatched, you can also request that the delivery be left in a safe place. However, be aware that the Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm service requires someone to be present at the property to accept the parcel, as per Royal Mail’s rules.

For orders that are urgent or needed sooner, you might want to consider selecting the Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm or APC Overnight service, both of which ensure next-day delivery. Alternatively, you can choose your preferred delivery option for an additional charge, allowing you to control the delivery speed based on your needs.

We actively monitor all parcels to ensure that they are delivered on time. In the event that a parcel has been delayed for three days or more, we will alert you and begin the process of finding a resolution.


Can I request my delivery be left somewhere?

Yes, you can provide delivery instructions in the ‘Order Notes’ when you checkout. The instructions you provide will be printed on the delivery label. However, we cannot guarantee that the carrier will follow them. The location you specify must be secure and, if your order contains live products, the location must avoid extreme temperatures, such as a greenhouse. If this is requested, we will not accept responsibility for any deterioation.

Worms must be kept cool and out of the sunlight. Our recommendation, especially when the order contains live products, is that arrangements be made with someone who can accept delivery on your behalf. We cannot be held responsible for live products left unattended that have deteriorated due to overheating or freezing. If you have requested that the order be left, the responsibility for that order’s safety passes to the customer. If it goes missing, we will not replace it, If a request has been made for the order to be left and then a claim is made for it not being delivered, we may ask for proof of this from Royal Mail.

How long does standard delivery take?

Standard delivery which is Royal Mail Tracked 24, normally the day after dispatch, but it is not guaranteed. If your order is urgent or needed earlier in the day, please choose Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm option in the checkout. 

My order still hasn’t arrived?

Do you deliver outside the UK?

We do not deliver outside the UK, and orders cannot be placed online. If an order is placed online for delivery outside the UK, it will be cancelled and your payment refunded subject to deductions for any bank charges we may have incurred.
