Earthworms – Lumbricus terrestris, are the large worms with the flat tail we find in our gardens.
Our worms are in excellent firm condition, strong and ready for transplanting!
These worms are the burrowers of the soil inhabitants, they create the burrows allowing oxygen and water to enter the soil, they also drag organic matter down from the surface which they then feed on. The casts that are subsequently produced and deposited in these burrows are a thriving population of hugely beneficial micro life just for your plants!
As a guide to the number required 250 would be needed per 50 square metres, this can be reduced, particularly on large areas but would take longer to establish.
