We are currently using our courier for ALL deliveries, PLEASE PROVIDE A CONTACT NUMBER ON THE ORDER FORM, failure to do so could result in delayed delivery.
We are NOT able to supply to the following areas: Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Scottish highlands and all Scottish offshore islands, this applies to all our products, if an order is placed it will be cancelled and a refund less our card processing charges will be made, further info. on the product pages. We are extremely unhappy at having to do this, in our 20+ years of trading we have prided ourselves in being able to supply all goods to all postcodes with no additional charges but times have changed and we hope you understand.
All our products are now being dispatched with our courier, this will require an acknowledgement of delivery by the customer, if you are not in please make arrangements with a neighbour and make sure we or the courier will be aware of this on delivery, if you ask for the item to be left this will be entirely at your risk.
Availability of products – we hope to continue the supply of as many of our products as possible during the Corona crisis, however, some may become unavailable or we may not be able to supply in the quantity we do under normal circumstances, these will be marked as “out of stock” on the product page, as an example, we cannot supply small quantities of earthworms as the delays experienced in delivery by Royal Mail mean they may not survive the journey, the larger quantities travel with a courier so do not have this problem.
Ordering – We continue to accept orders as normal and do ask that they are placed online, this enters them into the system and means that they will usually be processed more speedily, we are happy to take orders on the ‘phone if you need advice and haven’t been able to find this under https://www.wormsdirectuk.co.uk/blog/ or https://www.wormsdirectuk.co.uk/help-contact/care-guides/ Please do check these first before calling.
Dispatch information – please go to the dispatch information here: https://www.wormsdirectuk.co.uk/help-contact/dispatch/ for the current estimated dispatch date, the date shown and notified to you in your emailed order update is what we hope to achieve , however, dispatches may be delayed. When you place an order your update email will also tell you the delivery service we expect to use, this may also be changed at the last minute.
Please note orders placed for express delivery will no longer be a guaranteed delivery date, your order will be dispatched at the next available dispatch date on the quickest service available.
Delivery information – our deliveries are currently carried out by our courier deliveries are generally still next day but this is not guaranteed so please allow 2 working days before calling us.
Care after a delayed delivery – when worms have been travelling they often arrive in an innactive state, they will not be particularly lively and wriggling around as you might expect, if they have been delayed they really do appreciate a drop of cool water, maybe some wet moss or newspaper if you have any and a day in a refrigerator (particularly earthworms) if not a fridge then a night on a cold concrete floor, always keep the bag closed or the lid on the tub, please do this before assuming they are dead.
Collecting your order – We are now able to have a limited collection service, this is strictly limited to Friday and Saturday, if you wish to check availability or to place an order for collection, call us on 01245 381933.
