To ensure our live products reach you in the best condition we dispatch orders on days that avoid delivery over weekends and holidays. We dispatch orders on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (excluding holidays). See the sections below for more information. Terms and conditions apply, see our delivery terms.

The table below shows when you can expect your order to arrive based on the day the order was placed and the delivery method chosen. All orders are subject to product availability whichever method of delivery is chosen.

Will my order be dispatched same day?
Orders received by 12pm on Mondays to Thursdays are normally dispatched on the same day. Orders received after 12pm may be dispatched the following day or Monday if the order was received after 12pm on a Thursday. See the table above for examples.
During periods of high demand, hot weather, or where we are unable to fulfil your order e.g. stock shortages, your order may be dispatched later. In these cases you will be contacted and provided with a solution that suits you. We will send you an email when your order is dispatched so you know when to expect delivery.
What if I’m not in when my order is delivered?
If you miss delivery then the carrier should leave a calling card to let you know how to collect or receive it. If the delivery has been returned to the carriers depot, please collect or rearrange delivery as advised on the card as soon as possible, especially if your order contains live products. We are not liable for deterioration of live products due to missed delivery or delayed collection by the customer.
If you think you will be unable to take delivery of your order you can specify an alternative delivery address in the checkout, or request the delivery is left in a safe place (see below). Express delivery may be worth considering as it is guaranteed to arrive before 1pm next day.
Can I request my delivery be left somewhere?
Yes, you can provide delivery instructions in the ‘Order Notes’ when you checkout. Instructions you provide will be printed on the delivery label, however, we cannot guarantee that the carrier will follow them. The location you specify must be secure and if your order contains live products, the location must avoid extreme temperatures.
Worms must be kept cool and out of sunlight. Our recommendation, especially when the order contains live products, is that arrangements are made with someone who can accept delivery on your behalf. We cannot be held responsible for live products left unattended that have deteriorated due to overheating, freezing, or if the order goes missing.
How long does standard delivery take?
Standard delivery is included and by Royal Mail First Class post or courier for heavy or bulky items. This normally takes one to two days from day of dispatch, in most cases orders are delivered next day but it is not guaranteed. If your order is urgent or needed sooner, please choose the express delivery option in the checkout. Also refer to the table above for order dispatch and delivery examples.
What is express delivery?
Express delivery is a guaranteed next day by 1pm delivery service for orders received by 12pm. Orders received after 12pm may be dispatched the following day. Please note we do not dispatch every day (see above). We will send you an email when your order is dispatched.
Your order will be delivered using Royal Mail or APC depending on the weight of your order. A signature may be required on receipt.
Express delivery to Northern Ireland or Highlands and Islands may incur an additional charge depending upon the weight of your order. We will contact you before dispatch.

Do you deliver outside the UK?
We do not deliver outside the UK and orders cannot be placed online. If an order is placed online for outside the UK, it will be cancelled and your payment refunded subject to deductions of any bank charges we may have incurred.
