Winter - important for wildlife

As winter really gets under way our wild bird and mammal population could really do with a helping hand, many people put out fat balls, seeds etc for the birds but they also need the protein and fats that are found in live foods, live mealworms and maggots provide exactly that. If you have not fed live foods before you will be amazed at how the birds will take to them.

If you are lucky enough to have Badgers visiting you can give them a boost by putting out a few worms, these are the natural and staple diet of the Badger so are readily taken, so don't let your garden visitors miss out.

Feefo feedback

a little explanation on the Feefo feedback that has been introduced onto our website, We are trying this to get an idea into what our customers think about our service and products, this helps us to implement improvements to help our customers with their shopping, it also lets potential customers see what others think when they have bought products from us, it works by customers being contacted using our ordering system, you then make your comments and these are then put onto our feedback pages within the Feefo website, where they can be viewed by following the links, it is totally ANONYMOUS, no contact details or identifiable information is included, all feedback is posted and we (Worms Direct) cannot remove or edit it in any way, we can post a comment if we think that helps to explain something.
Many of our customers are regular repeat orders, you are asked to leave feedback for every order, you can ignore or delete the email request for that order or you can opt out completely, we hope you will use this system, as many of you know, we do our best to provide good service and products and involvement in this will help us to continue. If you have any comments on this system please do let us know.

Thanks, Nigel.

Collecting products

All our products are available for collection from our address, collected items often have a substantial discount (please call for a price).

We are at:

Drylands Nursery, Crouchmans Farm Road, Ulting, Nr. Maldon, Essex. CM9 6QS

How to find us.

From the main A12 take the slip road into Hatfield Peverel, if you are coming from the M25/London direction look for the large pub in the main street called "The Duke of Wellington" on your left, if you are coming from Colchester/Suffolk direction the pub will be on your right.
Opposite the pub is a main turning called Maldon Road, take this turning, several hundred yards later, before you leave Hatfield Peverel you will come to the green area where there is a right hand fork going to Woodham Walter and Danbury, marked "unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles" or something similar.
Take this fork, continue out into the sticks where the road becomes a country lane after about a mile or so look for "Ulting Cattery" on the left, the road is a bit bendy so watch out! 100 yards or so after the cattery on a bit of a blind left bend you will suddenly come across our gravel entrance - very rustic looking, there is a black shed with the "Worms Direct" sign on it, drive in to the car park very slowly as there are sometimes loose animals (no dogs!) particularly a cat, Pickles who is just thick and gets under vehicles so please watch out. If the gate is across and nobody is around, sorry but we are closed.

Look forward to meeting you.

Nigel.
