starting up commercial wormery

There are many people who are considering or have already gone into worm farming, it is a minefield, for independent advice on the pro's and cons discuss it here.

starting up commercial wormery

Postby salmonfisher » Wed Dec 16, 2009 11:55 pm

Hey guys
this is my 1st time posting and id just like to say what a great idea this website is, as a novice in the worming industry i know nothing and im sure that i will receive great advice from the members of this site.

anyway back to business, i am think of starting a small scale wormery to supply local fishermen and fishing shops in my area as there is none around, im not looking to mass produce thousands of worms but just enough to start up and see how it goes over a couple of seasons, i have never done anything like this before so i really know nothing, i really need help with what id need to start up i.e size of wormery, type of worms ( i hear bluenose worms are the best) and how to successfully breed them.

well any advice would be fantastic and much appreciated,

many thanks
Colin
