Maggots used for fishing are the white larvae of the blue bottle fly. Most fish prefer maggots including bream, roach, barbel, chub, tench and carp. The Maggot is the second most popular bait for coarse fishing.

We sell white, red and mixed colour fishing maggots because they are the best fishing maggot for sale. Using both white and coloured maggot bait is a sure way to catch fish. Our maggots are fresh, clean and very lively!
Before dispatch all maggots are riddled, all sawdust is sieved off and then they are measured, the sawdust is added back and they are packed to protect them during transit, during warm weather this may well be in insulated packaging ensuring they arrive in the best possible condition, see our Feefo feedback.

Caster maggots are not old maggots due to be thrown out! they are good quality and allowed to start to turn naturally, we then offer them for sale at the point of turning, the warming up they experience in travelling is enough to start the process of pupating, on arrival keep them warm and the process will continue giving you fresh casters within a few hours.
