Tenebrio molitor

The larvae of Tenebrio molitor, commonly known as Mealworms and come from the flour beetle.
They are kept in dry bran or similar cereal, porridge is a good substitute, a moisture supply from sliced fruit or root vegetables should be available at all times, this is scattered on the surface. Kept at cool temperature of around 10degC. will slow down pupation and can be kept like this for many weeks.
The dust produced should be sieved off and replaced with fresh bran as needed and this will keep them odour free.
