Waste management in the 21st Century is an important issue for individuals and for industry.  Landfill space is diminishing and not environmentally friendly.  The collection of waste is expensive and in some areas is becoming less regular, which can have knock on effects such as the build up of vermin and the risk of disease.
Now more than ever waste needs to be reduced, reused and re-cycled.  The Just Green Eatery provides an effective system, which not only reduces waste but turns it into a valuable commodity.  The Eatery uses composting worms to convert tons of kitchen and garden waste into a rich humus compost or vermicompost, packed with nutrients, which is ready to use or even sold on.

The Eatery can convert the following solid waste:

- Finely shredded prunings

It only needs 5-10 minutes attention every other day to process up to 7 tons of vermicompost a year in optimal conditions.  The flow through system uses composting worms to process organic waste,  The unit is economical and odourless,  Year round use of the Just Eatery  is possible through it's insulation.  The unit should be located indoors away from intense sunlight or other extreme weather.  Construction of the unit is straight forward and maintenance is easy as the worms do most of the work!
Waste organic material, paper, etc are layered into the Eatery and the worms continuously rise to feed on fresh layers, leaving a rich mixture of casting, humus, worm cocoons, micro-organisms and organic material in varying stages of decomposition behind.  This 'worm free' vermicompost is easily sifted out with a quick turn of the crank and retrieved, ready for use through the door at the bottom.
